Looking for an opportunity to develop our future leaders? The Modern War Institute (MWI) and the Defense and Strategic Studies (DSS) program are on the lookout for forward-thinking O-3 and O-4 officers (branch immaterial), typically in year groups ’18 and ’20, to join us as instructors at the United States Military Academy.
In DSS, we’re all about cutting-edge education. Our cadets explore critical topics like defense strategy, national policy, conflict, and the use of force. But that’s not all—DSS and MWI are on a mission to foster innovation, embrace technology, and confront wicked defense-related problems head on.
We are looking for officers to attend prestigious, two-year resident graduate programs—previous selected applicants have earned degrees from Georgetown, Columbia, Tufts, King’s, Harvard, the Naval Postgraduate School, and more—starting in the fall of 2026. You’ll gain the knowledge and tools to lead in an era of rapid change, harnessing innovation and technology to solve the most complex defense challenges.
Dive into this exceptional opportunity on the DSS and MWI websites and visit the DSS instructor opportunities page. To apply, please complete your packed in TEACH at teach.westpoint.edu. Applications are due November 1, 2024!
